More about the location
The park was often flooded by the river Thaya and thus the former owners from the Lichtenstein family decided to build an outstanding melioration work there. They had a huge pond excavated and built a system of several small islands. In the 19th century was the park adjusted to the current form resembling old Italian and French gardens.
A part of the castle park represents also a greenhouse with tropical flora. In the periphery of the park guests can enjoy during the season an attractive show of birds of pray. In case of your interest we can provide a castle or greenhouse tour.
